Dubai: Staff at ‘On Time’, the leading government and corporate services provider for a number of local and multinational organisations, are collecting AED 50,000 to provide clothing for 1,250 needy children to support the ‘Dress one million needy children’ campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Waleid Abdul-Karim, CEO of On Time, said the launch of the campaign during the holy month of Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed is a reflection of the high level of humanitarian concern shown by His Highness to help the needy in different parts of the world. The campaign will help alleviate the suffering of children, who form the most vulnerable section of the society, Abdul-Karim added. “Apart from the humanitarian initiatives in the UAE and around the world, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed has extended his support in social and economic fields through programmes to encourage entrepreneurs, especially the owners of small and medium enterprises, in order to enable them to contribute effectively to the development of the national economy,” Abdul-Karim said. Abdul-Karim pointed out that as a key SME in the UAE, On Time will participate in the ‘Dress one million needy children’ campaign according to its best available capabilities. “It is part of our social responsibility strategy to support disadvantaged groups around the world,” added Abdul-Karim. On Time offers more than 250 government services related to entities such as Department of Economic Development in Dubai, Ministry of Labour, General Directorate of Civil Defence, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Emirates Identity Authority, Ministry of Health, and Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai.
